Here at Games Mania UK we respect your privacy and we do not sell or give away any information collected on this site whether it be volunteered or logged by system administration tools.

Information about our organisation and website

The webmaster and administrator of this site is based in the UK and therefore all enquiries about the site and its policy must be sent here.

The main purpose and activities conducted by Games Mania UK are those concerning journalism and entertainment. We are not a commercial website and we are resigned to be a news and entertainment resource not a sales or business organisation.

Your right to anonymous access and registration

You can access this site and its information free of charge. There are however some parts of the site which are blocked from anonymous access and require registration. This is because these services take allot of bandwidth and by restricting access this allows us to cut down on the amount of robots and search engines that crawl these pages, loading content unnecessarily. The information you provide during registration is not used in anyway by third parties and is kept solely for socialising use on the forums. The only compulsory information during registration is a username, password and a valid e-mail address to contact you by. All other information requested is completely optional and you also have the option to hide your e-mail address form other members. We do not use any of the information you disclose for market research or personal identification. For security reasons in some areas your IP address may be logged, this is completely for abuse protection and will be erased from the system as soon as you leave the site. We do not track you after you have left Games Mania UK.

Children's Privacy

Whilst not being designed for children, we do appreciate that our site may appeal to a younger audience. As for registration and anonymous access all above applies. You will be asked when registering to state whether you are over or under 13 years of age. If under the age of 13 special restrictions may apply when using the site.

Advertising Companies

We keep all data you disclose in a database which is highly restricted. Whilst we are protected and firewalled from intrusion attempts and hacks, it is still not impossible for this to happen. In the unlikely event that data is leaked due to activities of this nature the site, administrators, moderators and webmaster cannot be held responsible.

Whilst this data is recorded, none of the information can link back to you directly or can be used to identify who you are.
